Open book examination to be completed and returned no later then noon Monday, March 22, 1993. You are free to use the classroom resources whenever one of us is here to give you access, but do not consult with other students or staff.
1. From the widely diversified topics that we have explored in class this quarter and/or the many pertinent references available in the classroom library, select two that you found appealing and have studied somewhat extensively. For each of these write a compact (3-10 page) essay summarizing and evaluating the topic or, even better, offer a plan for developing the concept and making it a real part of our societal and technical quality of life improvement plan for the coming decade or two.
2. Using the four pairs of classes of transducers that we developed, give an example of each of the sixteen resultant classes and show that it clearly fits its classification.
a) Efferent - Afferent
b) Biological - Technological
c) Passive - Active
d) Transductive - Transponsive
